LGBTQ+ FND Peer Support Group

The LGBTQ+ FND Virtual Peer Support group is a safe and inclusive space to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of those within the LGBTQ+ community who are living with FND. These monthly virtual peer support meetings will provide the platform to share experiences, find resources, and build connections. Our peer support meetings offer a platform for open discussions and shared coping strategies.The support group will be facilitated by Z Paige L’Erario, MD (they/them/Doctor), a board-certified neurologist and transgender activist. Z is a licensed social worker and psychotherapist (expected Fall 2023) with research interests in the diagnosis and management of FND among the LGBTQ+ community. Their work on FND has appeared in Scientific American, Neurologic Clinics, and the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting. We are so excited to collaborate with Dr. L’Erario on this new support group!
