In a COVID safe environment, and an agenda of FND Awareness invite guests for a cup of tea or coffee. Patient, carer, family member or FND aware Practitioners get involved by bringing people together to share FND Awareness.
Have the FND Hope website FNDHOPE.ORG close by to select key topics you would like to discuss.
For example, FND Practitioners may like to discuss how FND is diagnosed, treatments or current research. FND patients may prefer to speak of coping mechanisms, whereas Carers and family may choose to share advice on caring for an FND patient and making sure to take time for themselves.
Download and share FND information as you please enjoying the interaction of your guest’s company.
BREAK THE ISOLATION
For many FND patients, especially in COVID affected areas, getting out of the house can be extremely difficult. The days it is manageable to go beyond the letterbox usually involves appointments and possibly a trip to the local stores on the way home.
This routine doesn’t always connect us with many people and certainly not many friends you may not see as often as you would like. A great way to start from the safety of your own home, connecting with people again by inviting them to an online Tea Party for a cause, FND awareness!
GET TOGETHER AT THE OFFICE, LUNCHROOM, HOME OR COMMUNITY
Keep your Tea Party as small and cosy as you wish at home or work, with a select few guests happily feasting and chatting in your comfort zone or ask a friend to host the tea party for you.
Or you can book tables at a local café or restaurant. Alternatively, create a community event at a large venue.
