David L. Perez M.D., M.M.S.c. is a faculty member in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Perez is the director of the Functional Neurological Disorder Unit based within the Division of Behavioral Neurology & Integrated Brain Medicine. In the MGH FND Clinic, Dr. Perez provides specialized, integrated neurologic and psychiatric consultations for patients experiencing functional motor, seizures, speech, cognitive and/or dizziness presentations.
Dr. Perez is also the director of the MGH Functional Neurology Research Group, which is dedicated to the comprehensive clinical and neurobiological investigation of Functional Neurological Disorder. The laboratory uses advanced structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to investigate biomarkers of symptom severity, disease risk, subtype and prognosis across individuals with Functional Neurological Disorder and related conditions.
